Finding Kennedy is now live on Amazon!

Book Synopsis:
When Kennedy James unexpectedly shows up at her grandma’s house in Tyler, Texas, no one knows what to make of her arrival—including her. The only thing Kennedy does know is that something in her life has to change, and it needs to happen right now. She’s been numb for much too long.

Then she meets Travis Broussard, the perceptively cool guitarist of the indie soul band, The Prototype. The timing couldn’t be worse, but their attraction is instant, magnetic, and at times overwhelming, causing Kennedy to question if it’s possible to feel too much.

As Kennedy attempts to embark on a new path, she finds herself at a crossroads. But if she chooses to follow her heart, is she prepared to deal with what she might find?

This second Prototype book was so awesome, Jacinta! I just finished reading (and posting my review on Amazon:D) after constantly warring with myself to both slow down in an effort to prolong the story of Travis and Kennedy and speed up so I can already know their story:). I already said it in my review, but you truly do make me fall in love with each and every one of your characters and this is what makes them work so powerfully as couples that go to live on in my head after their stories have been concluded. I didn't think I would love another couple as much as I do Raven and Dorian, but I am a definite believer with Travis and Kennedy (who by the way has so many nicknames and I love it! She fits so effortlessly into the Prototype family and it's so beautiful)!.

Before your novels, I must say that I was never much of a fan when it came to READING young adult romance (or at least that what I categorize the early 20s age group). I just never thought that such love could lead much of anywhere in my head or that I could ultimately trust in it on the page. You have really changed my perspective on this because you give all of your characters such depth and maturity (even though they have their moments, of course), but just so much life reality that they are in the process of overcoming, that I ultimately believe in the love they find to be that everlasting kind because it's so penetrating, sincere, deep in your soul, make-me-a-better-me kind of love, and I trust this.

Again, as posted in my review, I can't wait to read about Devin and Willow because I really want them to get it together since it's evident that the love is there. I am also eager to just know their individual stories even more and get into their heads. Bam was also just so wonderful and lovable and I am truly hoping that he'll get his story with Cassie!

I so loved this couple that I can't stop smiling and answer my niece's question about whether or not she can eat some peanut butter from the jar. I'm in such a good mood though so...what the heck!:)

Thanks again, Jacinta. I now eagerly await your release of Because my Heart Said So: A Friends-to-Lovers Collection with Nia, Rae and Lily!! Yay June!

Tanika! Thank you so, so much for taking the time to write down your thoughts here and to leave a review... I so, so appreciate it. Whew! You have no idea what a relief it is that you enjoyed the book. I seriously agonize over not disappointing y'all, so when I say I'm glad you enjoyed the book, I truly mean it.

It's so nice to hear you say that you trust the love of my characters. That's always, always the mission for me...to make the love believable and relatable. If I fail at that, the entire book is a loss for me. It's also cool to hear you say that you now enjoy new adult romances with younger characters. Honestly, there aren't a lot of new adult romance books that focus on black characters. I longed for that kind of romance when I was that age and I think that's a huge part of the reason why I decided to focus a lot my books on younger characters-- to add some diversity to the genre.

Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks so much again for your kind words...they boost me. And yes, I'm planning books for Devin & Willow and Cassie & Bam. And yep, I'm so excited about the Because My Heart Said So Collection!

Glad to know you were in a good enough mood to let your niece eat the peanut butter from the jar! LOL
