I used to love Valentine's Day. Well, maybe not love but I didn't have anything against it and enjoyed participating in the kiddie card swapping, or as I got older, waiting to see if I would get anything as proof of how desirable I was. Then I went through my post-adolescent idealistic phase and consequently started hating Valentine's Day. You know, for the typical reasons—the rampant consumerism, the shallowness of being required to proving your love with a gift, the idea that if you didn't have a Valentine you were somehow worthy of pity or were obligated to be depressed... the overwhelming amount of PINK. These days, I feel sort of "meh" about it all. That is to say, whatever floats your boat, dude. If dressing up in pink and spending a few hundred dollars at a fine dining establishment, or receiving large teddy bears with candy hearts taped to the paw makes you feel all Valentine-y, more power to you. And if you're over the Valentine's Day thing, well, that's cool too. Just please don't get depressed if you're not Valentine'd this year. Seriously, it's only one day. I said all that to say, you should stop by this Facebook Celebration on the Day After Valentine's Day to hang out with me from 6-7p EST. Actually, I said all that because I ramble, but that's neither here nor there. Anyhoo, I'll be hanging out discussing Brian Jace of Better Than Okay and More Than Always and Isaiah "Zay" Broussard of Happiness in Jersey. In an interview I described Brian as being like a nice glass of cognac and Zay as sweet tea spiked with moonshine and I stand by my alcohol comparisons. There will be trivia and prices for said trivia, so if you've read the book you should stop through. Oh, and lest I forget, I have new cover art for the Love Always series. Yay.
